One of our favorite smoothie recipes for cold weather days (like today!) is Pumpkin Spice! It's satisfying just like those Starbucks Pumpkin Spice lattes but without the guilt of empty calories, lots of caffeine, and way too much sugar.
So how do we make the pumpkin spice smoothie? Easy!
1-2 scoops of Complete Whey Protein
3 tablespoons of pureed pumpkin (canned pumpkin)
1 cup of unsweet coconut water or unsweet almond milk
dash of nutmeg and Ceylon cinnamon
If desired, add vanilla extract and unsweet cocoa powder
Add ice and blend
Add stevia or xylitol for sweetness
While you're sipping this wonderful concoction, just remember it's good for you too. Pumpkin gives you a dose of Vitamins A, C, E, K and antioxidants. Not to mention the great benefits you get from our raw whey protein product.
