Make a sweet treat for your Valentine! These healthy candies are filled with healthy fats and protein. We used our delicious chocolate Paleo Protein for this simple recipe that make great snacks or desserts. The Medjool dates add a lovely caramel flavor without any extra added sugar.
12 pitted Medjool dates cut in half
Your favorite nuts...We used raw almonds and roasted peanuts!
2 cups of melted coconut oil
4 scoops of Complete Paleo Protein Powder in the delicious chocolate flavor
For added richness we melted a bar of dark 85% chocolate to some of the treats.
1 teaspoon of Himalayan sea salt
Optional: dash of Ceylon Cinnamon
Melt the coconut oil and mix in the Complete Paleo Protein powder until combined. Add in the extra chocolate bar if desired.
In cupcake papers, place one Medjool date on the bottom cut in half.
Add in your nuts!
Pour the melted coconut oil and chocolate protein powder mix over the nuts and date.
Sprinkle with Himalayan sea salt.
Optional: add a dash of Ceylon Cinnamon
Place in freezer to set for about an hour.
