A Delicious Immunity-Building Smoothie Recipe! June 22, 2015 16:01

We tried a brand new smoothie today that was DELICIOUS!

This smoothie is not only filling, but it's also packed full of immunity building ingredients! Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapples that has anti-inflammatory properties, helps with digestion and is great source of Vitamin C! Coconut cream is a healthy fat and contains lauric acid which is another antibacterial, anti-viral ingredient which also boosts immunity. We topped off our recipe with yet another anti-inflammatory super food, Ginger root which adds a little kick of spice into the mix!

Pineapple Vanilla Coconut Cream Smoothie
Blend all ingredients:
8-10 chunks of fresh pineapple
3 Tbsp. of Coconut Cream (we like Trader Joe's brand!)
1/2 tsp. of fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. of fresh grated ginger root
1/2 a frozen banana
1-2 Scoops of 100% Vegan Complete Pea Protein
4 oz. of water or desired consistency
Dash of Himalayan Sea Salt

Complete Whey Protein in the Creamy Vanilla flavor or Complete Paleo Protein in the Creamy Vanilla flavor may also be used in this recipe!

Just place all ingredients into a blender (we used a Ninja). Drink right away or place in the fridge for your post-workout protein snack! You can also freeze into popsicles for a delicious and healthy treat later.

We will definitely be making this again!
