We love making our smoothies with fresh fruits that are available each season. End of summer means fresh pears are ready to pick off the trees and are added directly into a delicious smoothie full of antioxidants, electrolytes and fiber.
Pears are a low-glycemic fruit that won't spike your blood sugar. They are full of electrolytes like copper and magnesium. Pears are also a great source of Vitamin C and Potassium!
To make our delicious Spiced Pear Ginger Smoothie blend these ingredients together:
3 ripe pears with seeds and stem removed
1 scoop of Creamy Vanilla Complete Whey Protein Powder
Dash of Ceylon Cinnamon
Dash of Himalayan Sea Salt
2 fresh or frozen apricots with pits removed (sub peaches if desired)
1 fresh or frozen banana
1 teaspoon of Freshly grated Ginger root
add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract if desired
sprinkle Cinnamon and extra grated ginger on top after blending

Pears are a great fruit that aids in weight loss. In addition to containing antioxidants like Vitamin C, pears are high in fiber, low in calories, high in water content and aid in digestion.
Not only are pears delicious in smoothies, they are a great addition to salads.
We suggest one Spiced Pear Ginger Smoothie in the morning blended with any of our Complete Protein Powders. For dinner: mix fresh arugula, spinach, grilled chicken, fresh pears, feta cheese and pecans. For dressing: blend olive oil, balsamic vinegar and fresh pears. Finish with salt and pepper. Yum!
