Cherry Lemonade Popsicles made with Complete Paleo Protein!

In the heat of the summer, we love cold treats. These popsicles are not only tangy, sweet and refreshing, they are also packed full of high quality protein, Vitamin C, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. We like to take advantage of adding seasonal fruits to our protein smoothies and recipes. We picked sun-ripened cherries right off the trees in our area. 

Blend these ingredients and freeze into popsicle molds overnight:

the juice of 6 lemons

2 cups of pitted cherries

2 packages of cream cheese

3 Tbsp. of xylitol for added sweetness (you can use monk fruit or your favorite low-glycemic sweetener)

2 scoops of Complete Paleo Protein in the creamy vanilla flavor or if you prefer use Complete Whey Protein in the creamy vanilla flavor

dash of Himalayan sea salt

1 tsp. of vanilla extract

These frozen summer treats are made with fresh fruit and High Quality Whey or Paleo Protein Powders!

Decadent Chocolate Cream Pie made with Complete Paleo Protein!

This pie was so good! We made a decadent chocolate cream pie made with Complete Paleo Protein in the delicious chocolate flavor. This recipe has no added sugar. We used low-glycemic zero calorie monk fruit and dried dates for the sweeteners. This rich and creamy dessert or snack will fill you up and leave you satiated without feeling guilty because all of the ingredients used are great for your body!

Blend ingredients for crust and press into a pie pan:

1 cup of pecan flour or pecan bits blended

1 cup of softened dried dates (dates add a rich caramel flavoring)

1 cup of melted coconut oil

dash of Ceylon Cinnamon

dash of Himalayan Sea Salt

Blend ingredients for chocolate cream filling:

1 can of coconut cream (we used Trader Joe's brand)

3 scoops of Complete Paleo Protein in the delicious chocolate flavor

1 cup of 100% unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

4 Tablespoons of Monk Fruit sweetener

Instructions:

Set crust by pressing into a pie pan. Sprinkle with Ceylon Cinnamon and Himalayan Sea Salt.

Pour Blended filling over pie crust. Sprinkle with a bit more Himalayan Sea Salt.

Set in the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight.

Pecan flour, dates and coconut oil make up this delicious crust for our Coconut Cream Pie Made with Chocolate Paleo Protein!

2 nuts on a date is a sweet treat made with Complete Paleo Protein!

Make a sweet treat for your Valentine! These healthy candies are filled with healthy fats and protein. We used our delicious chocolate Paleo Protein for this simple recipe that make great snacks or desserts. The Medjool dates add a lovely caramel flavor without any extra added sugar.

Ingredients:

12 pitted Medjool dates cut in half

Your favorite nuts...We used raw almonds and roasted peanuts!

2 cups of melted coconut oil

4 scoops of Complete Paleo Protein Powder in the delicious chocolate flavor

For added richness we melted a bar of dark 85% chocolate to some of the treats.

1 teaspoon of Himalayan sea salt

Optional: dash of Ceylon Cinnamon

Instructions:

Melt the coconut oil and mix in the Complete Paleo Protein powder until combined. Add in the extra chocolate bar if desired.

In cupcake papers, place one Medjool date on the bottom cut in half.

Add in your nuts!

Pour the melted coconut oil and chocolate protein powder mix over the nuts and date. 

Sprinkle with Himalayan sea salt.

Optional: add a dash of Ceylon Cinnamon

Place in freezer to set for about an hour.

Enjoy with your Valentine!

How are you doing on your New Year's Resolutions? A Protein shake a day can help you reach your goals!

How many of us had New Year's Resolutions this year? Of course, losing weight and getting fit were probably the most repeated resolutions this January. We are almost at the end of the first month of 2021 and this is about the time where good habits are being stuck to or abandoned. Experts say that it takes around 21 days for a habit to form in the brain, specifically the basal ganglia. 

Neuroscientists have traced our habit-making behaviors to a part of the brain called the basal ganglia, which also plays a key role in the development of emotions, memories and pattern recognition. 

Dr. Webster, our resident weight loss expert, decided that we were going to form good habits this winter. During the winter months, we created a home gym for daily exercise. We alternate with leg exercises and arm exercises each day with core work everyday and vestibular balance exercises daily. We have a pre and post workout mix of Complete Paleo Protein and L-Glutamine powder to cut down on muscle soreness.

Another good habit we are trying to make is to cut down on sugary snack foods. One big vice many of you might have is ice cream. We strive to find healthier, nutrient-dense alternatives for comfort foods on a daily basis. We made a delicious alternative last night and it tasted just like we were eating a decadent, rich chocolate fudge ice cream. Our alternative to this cold treat is called Nice Cream!

ABCC Nice Cream made with Chocolate Complete Paleo Protein Powder!

ABCC Nice Cream ingredients:

1 cup of creamy Almond Butter (we used the Trader Joe's brand)

5 frozen ripe Bananas

2 scoops (about a half cup) of Delicious Chocolate Complete Paleo Protein Powder

a teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnamon

Instructions:

Just blend the 4 ingredients together until smooth and pour into a glass dish,

freeze overnight or eat right away!

Top with a sprinkle of the Ceylon Cinnamon and your favorite raw nuts. We used walnuts. Pecans or almonds go great with it too!

Homemeade Peppermint Patties made with Complete Whey Protein Powder!

We love the fresh mint taste of peppermint patties, so we decided to make a healthier version of this famous treat filled with healthy fats, zero added sugar, whey protein and peppermint oil which helps with digestion!

We have a well-known store bought brand of chocolate mint ice cream in our freezer and these little treats taste even better than the ice cream!

Homemade Peppermint Patties

Blend Ingredients:

1 cup of melted coconut oil

1 can of coconut cream

3 Tbsp. of Xylitol or your favorite low-glycemic sweetener such as Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener

2 scoops of Complete Whey Protein unflavored or vanilla flavor

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of pure peppermint oil (be careful because this stuff is potent)

Optional: Crushed Candy Cane pieces for garnish

Separately, in a double boiler:

Melt 85% dark chocolate with 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil

Instructions:

1. Fill small cupcake papers halfway with the melted dark chocolate coconut oil

2. Add about 2 Tablespoons of the Coconut cream mixture on top of the chocolate to make a middle layer

3. Fill the rest of the cupcake paper with the dark chocolate mixture

4. Optional: Top with candy cane garnish or coconut flakes

5. Place in Freezer overnight

6. Enjoy as a snack or delicious dessert

You can even add these homemade peppermint patties to a cup of coffee in the morning for a delicious chocolate coconut cream peppermint flavoring.

If you don't have the patience for the homemade peppermint patties, just blend everything together and make a decadent peppermint chocolate mousse! Top with homemade whipped cream and crushed candy cane!

Dalgona Coffee made with Delicious Chocolate Complete Paleo Protein!

We noticed that a lot of folks are trying their hand at a whipped sweet-tasting milky coffee treat that is trending known as Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona, or Ppopgi in Korean, means “honeycomb toffee” or "old fashioned sugar candy". It's a treat you can easily make yourself and it tastes delicious! Dalgona coffee is a beverage made by whipping equal proportions of instant coffee powder, sugar, and hot water until it becomes creamy and then adding it to cold or hot milk.

We had a lot of fun experimenting in the RawWheyProtein.com kitchen. We put a healthier spin on our version of Dalgona coffee by substituting xylitol (a low glycemic sweetener) instead of sugar and using coconut cream instead of milk. We kicked our recipe up a few notches by adding chocolate Complete Paleo Protein for a burst of mocha flavor and high quality beef-based protein!

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons of your favorite Instant Coffee, we used Nescafé

1 Tablespoon of Xylitol for added sweetness if you choose you can add more or less to your taste preferences

4 Tablespoons of hot water

2 Tablespoons of Complete Paleo Protein in the Delicious Chocolate Flavor

1 can of Organic Coconut Cream, we used Trader Joe's brand

Instructions:

Whip the instant coffee, xylitol, water and Paleo Protein powder with a whisk or use a hand blender until soft peaks are formed.

Pour over iced or warm coconut cream.

We tried several versions of Dalgona coffee with other ingredients such as our Vegan Creamy Vanilla Complete Pea Protein with a Matcha version for those of you who don't like coffee or chocolate and it was a delightful snack.

Try a Coconut Matcha Vegan Dalgona Treat made with Complete Pea Protein!

To make the Vanilla Matcha version:

Mix one Tablespoon of Matcha powder with 4 Tablespoons of hot water.

In a separate mug, mix 1 Tablespoon of Creamy Vanilla Complete Pea Protein

with coconut cream. 

Pour the steeped and thoroughly whisked Matcha and hot water mix over the Pea Protein and coconut cream mix. Add xylitol for sweetness to your taste preference.

These 2 delicious drinks make great snacks or breakfasts. The added Protein helps satiate your appetite so that your blood sugar stays even until lunch or your next meal.

Blend these Ingredients:

1 cup of pitted Medjool dates

1 cup of almond meal

1 cup of almond butter or peanut butter

1/2 cup of melted coconut oil

Instructions:

Once batter is fully mixed, roll flat and use heart shaped cookie cutters to cut out heart shaped snacks. 

Fill the top of the heart with your favorite healthy snacks.

Lemon Blueberry Keto Cupcakes made with Vanilla Complete Whey Protein!

Always remember that any food cravings can be made with a healthier version in mind! I had a craving for a lemon blueberry cake that my mother would make when I was a kid. We made a smaller portioned version of this cake for a single serving made with almond flour and xylitol for sweetness. We added Creamy Vanilla Whey Protein to the icing which makes this recipe ideal for a quick breakfast or snack full of protein, vitamin C and antioxidants!

What makes this a ketogenic recipe?

This recipe is full of healthy fats and low carbohydrate ingredients. The idea of ketosis is to get most of your energy from high quality fats and protein!

Mix together ingredients for the Keto Cupcake batter:

1 cup of Almond Flour

1/2 cup of Coconut Flour

1 1/2 teaspoons aluminum-free baking powder

1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan Sea Salt

1/2 cup of salted butter melted

6 Tablespoons of xylitol ground in a mortar and pestle to a fine powder (xylitol is a low glycemic substitute for sugar)

2 Tablespoons of Pure Maple Syrup

3 eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

the juice and zest of 2 fresh organic lemons

1/2 cup of coconut milk

1 cup of frozen or fresh blueberries

1/2 cup of raw walnuts

Instructions:

1. Mix together all ingredients with a wooden spoon.

2. Place cupcake papers in muffin tins and fill with batter.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes or until tops of cupcakes turn golden brown.

Blend all Ingredients for the Lemon Cream Cheese Protein Icing:

1 package (8 oz.) of cream cheese

1/2 stick of salted butter

2 scoops of Complete Whey Protein in the Creamy Vanilla Flavor

6 Tablespoons of xylitol ground in a mortar and pestle to a fine powder (xylitol is a low glycemic substitute for sugar)

2 Tablespoons of Pure Maple Syrup

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

the juice and zest of 2 fresh organic lemons

Instructions:

After the Keto Cupcakes have cooled, top with the Lemon protein cream cheese icing. Garnish with fresh blueberries, fresh mint and Lemon zest!

Here's a healthy No Bake Cookie Recipe loaded with all sorts of health benefits like antioxidants, fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals! Perfect for breakfast or your post workout snack!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup xylitol
1/2 cup milk
1/2 stick butter
4 Tbsp. coconut oil (1/4 cup)
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup Complete Paleo Protein in the Delicious Chocolate Flavor
3 cups rolled oats 
1 cup peanut butter
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Pinch of Himalayan sea salt 
*if desired 1/2 cup of Chopped Raw Walnuts

Instructions: 

Heat everything but the peanut butter and oats in a pan. Then mix in the peanut butter and oats. Drop onto wax paper and chill in the fridge for an hour!

Paleo Chocolate Mousse

Blend all ingredients with a hand blender, pour into containers and place in refrigerator overnight.

1 Avocado
1 can of Chilled Coconut Cream
1/2 cup of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup (about 2 scoops) of Complete Paleo Protein Powder in the Delicious Chocolate Flavor
1 tsp. of Vanilla Extract
