Homemade Neapolitan Protein Popsicles!

We love experimenting in the RawWheyProtein.com kitchen and coming up with delicious and nutritious recipes! Here's a tasty summer treat for you and your loved ones:

Homemade Neapolitan Protein Popsicles

For the berry layer blend these ingredients:

1/2 cup organic strawberries

1/4 cup of raspberries

1/4 cup of pitted cherries

1/4 cup of pure Cranberry juice

1 cup of Coconut Cream (we like Trader Joe's brand)

1 Tbsp. of Xylitol (for added sweetness)

1 Scoop of Complete Whey Protein in the Creamy Vanilla Flavor

For the Vanilla Layer blend these ingredients:

1 cup of Coconut Cream

1 Tbsp. of Maple Syrup

1 tsp. of Vanilla extract

1 Scoop of Complete Whey Protein in the Creamy Vanilla Flavor

For the Rich Chocolate Layer blend these ingredients:

2 Tbsp. of Almond Butter

2 Tbsp. of 100% Cocoa Powder

2 Tbsp. of Xylitol

1 Tbsp. of Maple Syrup

a dash of Himalayan Sea Salt

1/2 cup of Coconut Cream

1 scoop of Complete Pea Protein in the Delicious Chocolate Flavor

Pour each layer into popsicle molds on top of each other and freeze overnight!

Homemade Neapolitan Protein Popsicles!

The recipes can easily double as nutritious shakes if you desire!

Chocolate Chip Vegan Cookie Dough Bites

In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, May 15th, we have a delicious completely Vegan NO-BAKE recipe for you!

Blend all ingredients except chocolate chips, mix chocolate chips after blending. Form into balls and chill for one hour.

1 cup of raw cashews
1 cup of almond meal
1 cup of oats
1 cup of coconut oil
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
2 scoops of Complete Pea Protein in the Delicious Chocolate Flavor
8-10 pitted dates
1 tsp. of honey
1 cup of dark chocolate chips
To finish: Sprinkle with Himalayan sea salt

This recipe is high in protein, full of antioxidants, good fats & has no added sugar!

Homemade Coconut Matcha Ice Cream

Make your own creamy Green Tea ice cream packed full of healthy fats, immune building amino acids and healthy antioxidants! This recipe is so easy to make!

Blend all ingredients and freeze overnight:

1 can of coconut cream (we like Trader Joe's)

1 avocado

2 scoops (1/4 cup) of Complete Whey Protein in the Creamy Vanilla flavor

4 tsp. of Matcha Green Tea powder

4 Tbsp. of Xylitol (for sweetness)

1 tsp. of Pure Vanilla extract

Dash of Himalayan Sea Salt

Squeeze of lemon juice

Double Chocolate Fudge September 2, 2015 15:27

Our decadent double chocolate NO BAKE fudge recipe is full of healthy antioxidants and high quality protein!

Ingredients:

2 scoops of Complete Paleo Protein (approx. 1 cup)
1 cup coconut oil
1 cup almond butter
1 cup 100% cacao powder
1 cup dates (pitted)
1 pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup of walnuts
coconut oil spray


Instructions:
1. Soak your dates in hot water for about 10 minutes to make them soft and sticky.
2. Mix the Complete Paleo Protein into melted coconut oil.
3. Place all ingredients, except for walnuts, in a food processor and blend until soft and well combined.
4. Add the walnuts into the blended mix.
5. Spread evenly into a glass dish that has been sprayed with coconut oil.
6. Place in the fridge overnight.

Cacao is full of antioxidants and natural anti-depressants.

Coconut oil is great for your skin and hair as well as helping to aid in weight loss.

Our No Bake Coconut Protein bars are delicious and nutritious treats for the whole family!

If you love coconut candy bars, here's a tasty and healthier version to enjoy:

Ingredients:
2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
2 scoops of Complete Whey Protein unflavored, unsweetened
2 Tbsp. coconut oil
2 Tbsp. xylitol
2 tsp. pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla or almond extract
dash of sea salt

Instructions:
1. Mix 2 scoops of Complete Whey Protein into the coconut oil
2. Add all ingredients into food processor and pulse until mixed
3. Press coconut mixture into a shallow glass container
4. Chill for an hour in fridge before cutting into squares

A High Protein Breakfast Leads to Lower Body Fat August 17, 2015 16:38

Many people skip breakfast in an effort to lose weight by reducing their calorie intake. In fact, research found that six out of 10 teens regularly skip breakfast altogether. But new evidence shows that skipping breakfast and especially avoiding protein for breakfast can hinder your ability to lose weight and cause many other undesirable health consequences.

You might have heard your mother use the old adage that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day."  Well it seems that mom was right. Despite the recent popularity of intermittent  fasting where one would purposely skip breakfast everyday, studies are pointing to the importance of an early breakfast. And not just any breakfast. Researchers at the University of Missouri compared a group of people who consumed a normal protein (13g) breakfast to a group who consumed a high protein (35g) breakfast. They found that the high-protein group had better blood sugar stability which helped them reduce body fat when compared to the normal protein group. The high protein group also ate 400 fewer daily calories and reported reduced appetite when compared to those who ate the normal protein breakfast which no doubt further contributed to the weight loss advantage of the high protein breakfast group.  And this happened despite the fact that both the normal protein group and the high protein group ate the exact same number of total calories for breakfast. Research has already demonstrated that eating more of your total daily calories during breakfast is advantageous when compared to eating most of your daily calories for dinner. But this research shows that the type of calories is also important. When you eat more protein for breakfast, you chose to eat less food throughout the rest of the day and your blood sugar and fat storing hormone, insulin, are far better controlled. All of this leads to better fat loss outcomes.

Teens and busy adults are skipping breakfast a lot these days which is contributing to the growing problem of obesity and weight related diseases. An easy way to combat this issue is to consume 35 grams of a high quality protein powder for breakfast each day. I recommend blending the protein powder of your choice with berries, spinach and a high quality fat like almond butter, coconut oil or avocado (not too much) to provide a high quality, high protein, complete meal. This could be the key to losing weight, reducing your appetite and controlling your blood sugar throughout your life.
